About the Cancun Speedboat and Snorkel Tour. Zoom through mangrove canals as you drive a 2-person speed boat to reach a beautiful snorkeling spot at Punta Nizuc National Park Reef on this thrilling jungle tour adventure from Cancun. After your speedboat ride, snorkel around one of the two largest coral reefs in the world. After your guide provides instructions on how to navigate your speedboat, hop into the driver’s seat and start up the motor for adventure. Follow your highly trained tour guide along the canals that weave through the lush mangrove jungle. The 13-foot (4 m) speed boats are easy to drive, safe, stable, and completely suitable for first-time boaters. When you arrive at the reef, park your boat, put on your mask, and splash into the crystal-clear waters to snorkel with your guide. Look for colorful tropical fish swimming around coral reef formations. More experienced swimmers can visit the MUSA underwater museum, which features sunken sculptures that create a habitat for sea creatures. After snorkeling, re-board your speedboat for a swift ride back to Cancun.

  • All guests must be able to communicate in English or Spanish.
  • Guests that show signs of intoxication by drugs or alcohol will not be allowed to participate.
  • Children 0–3 years old are not allowed.
  • Children between the ages of 3 and 7 must be accompanied by an adult who is hands-free and does not operate the boat.
  • The maximum weight capacity is 530 lbs. (240 kg) per speed boat.
  • You must be 18 years of age and present a valid photo ID in order to drive the speedboat.
  • This service requires a payment of $20.00 USD per person prior to boarding, payable in cash for the use of natural marine elements (Art. 198 of the Federal Rights Law), payable on the day of your activity.
  • If you are pregnant or have had recent surgery, asthma, severe back or neck pain, or claustrophobia, you should not participate.
  • Subject to favorable weather conditions.
  • Cancellations due to inclement weather are fully refundable only when the activity is suspended by the port authorities. If the port remains open and the activity has not been canceled by the relevant authorities, we will proceed as planned. If the customer decides to cancel their reservation due to perceived unfavorable weather, please note that this will be treated as a voluntary cancellation. As such, no refund will apply.
  • The MUSA gallery at Punta Nizuc National Park is only open to intermediate and advanced swimmers and during favorable weather conditions.
  • For the shared speedboat option, a minimum requirement of two people is necessary. If, by accident, one person books under this price and there isn't someone to share a speedboat with, an additional 35 USD will be charged at the moment of check-in.

  • All customers must present a credit card and I.D. matching the credit card holder at the moment of check-in.
  • Smoking, alcoholic beverages, glass containers, and drugs are forbidden on the tour.

No worries! Our speedboats are very easy, safe, and fun to drive. Before you leave the dock, our guide will carefully explain how to operate the boat and provide all the safety instructions and signals. All you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery!

For safety reasons, the minimum age to drive a speedboat is 18 years old, and the minimum age to board is 3 years old.

Absolutely! Simply choose the "Go Solo" option, and you’ll have your own speedboat to enjoy.

The tour starts at the Marina Jungle Tour Adventure and lasts about 2 hours. After a 40-minute speedboat ride, you’ll arrive at the coral reef of Punta Nizuc National Park. For approximately 45 minutes, you’ll have the chance to snorkel and see a wide variety of marine life. Then, you’ll drive your speedboat back to the marina through the canals of the Nichupté Lagoon.

Driving on open water is part of the excitement of this adventure. While the waters are usually calm, the harbor can get a bit choppy at times. For this reason, we do not allow participants who have:
  • Neck or back issues.
  • Recent surgeries.
  • Heart conditions.
  • Asthma or claustrophobia (only for the snorkeling activity).

    • You don’t need to be an experienced swimmer to enjoy the snorkeling. You’ll be wearing a life jacket, and our guides will be in the water with you to assist at all times. If you prefer not to snorkel, you can relax on the boat and enjoy the views.
